How to calculate square footage
- Rectangle or square: length × width.
- Triangle: base × height ÷ 2.
- Circle: 3.1416 × radius × radius (radius is half the diameter).
- For an L-shaped room, split it into two rectangles and add them together.
- Divide square feet by 9 to get square yards.
